FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I expect during sessions at Total Core Reform?

Every session at Total Core Reform is fully personalized to your individual needs and stage of life. Total Core Reform takes the time to understand your body, your goals, and how you're moving that day. Each session is intentionally designed with your goals in mind--whether that's rebuilding core strength, improving stability, reducing discomfort, or confidently returning to exercise--so you can progress safely, effectively, and at your own pace.

How long are the sessions?

The initial evaluation (first session) is 1 hour long. All other sessions are 50 minutes.

What types of clients does Total Core Reform specialize in working with?

Total Core Reform works with individuals who are pregnant, trying to conceive, postpartum, and mothers of all stages of life. Programming is designed to support the unique physical demands and transitions associated with each phase.

What are the accepted forms of payment?

Payments are taken through Zelle. Your payments could be eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement.

How much do sessions cost?

Pricing is based off of how many sessions per week you choose to do. Contact Total Core Reform today find out about current prices.

Does Total Core Reform only offer in-person sessions?

Total Core Reform offers in-person, virtual and hybrid options for personal training sessions.

If I choose to do virtual sessions, what type of equipment is needed?

No equipment is required, HOWEVER, it is recommended to have therabands and a door anchor. It is also beneficial to have free weights. Total Core Reform can provide a short list of recommended, inexpensive items to make the most out of your sessions.

Am I allowed to bring my baby to the personal training sessions?

Most clients like to use the personal training sessions as "me" time. However, your baby is definitely welcome if you don't have childcare or don't want to leave your newborn behind. Total Core Reform has a small safe space set up next to the gym for your non-mobile baby to hang out while you work out. Due to space restrictions and the safety of your child, only non-mobile babies are allowed at the Total Core Reform gym.

What needs to be done before I have my initial evaluation?

Three forms need to be completed before having your initial evaluation: intake form, physician consent form and a liability waver.

The intake form allows Total Core Reform to learn about you! Total Core Reform requires anyone who is pregnant or within a year postpartum to receive medical clearance to participate in personal training sessions. Please keep in mind that it may take some doctors about a week to sign this form.

What do I need to bring to the sessions?

Gym shoes and water to stay hydrated. If you are pregnant, it may be a good idea to bring a small snack.

ABOUT ME

Dr. Nicole Filipiak, PT, DPT, NASM-CPT

As an experienced physical therapist practicing since 2015, I have dedicated my professional career to helping individuals regain functional mobility and improve their quality of life. My background in healthcare, working with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, and pelvic/ abdominal surgeries gives me a unique perspective with my transition into the fitness industry. In a span of two years, I have fully recovered from two cesarean sections and an additional abdominal surgery. This has shifted my interests to gaining a deeper understanding of the body during the pre and postpartum journey. I furthered my training by becoming a NASM personal trainer, and completed the Pre/Postnatal Performance Training Specialist certification with PROnatal Fitness, as well as, the Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist certification with Core Exercise Solutions. As a mom of two, I find it important to create workouts that center around activities that need to be performed on a daily basis with my kids. I hope to empower women to advocate for themselves and allow them the time and space to grow stronger during their pre/postnatal journey, as well as other stages of life.
